Dream India team conducts weekly classes for the children of government schools and our own study centers in various places under Project Vidhyalakshmi
We had the session September 15th & 16th – 2024 of the weekly classes and Mr. Christopher alone handled the classes.
We had two session of this weekly classes. This Sunday with 9 kids at our centre. Kids were preparing for the exams. Three kids who studies at the government school feels left out, comes with their school bag with all books. Mr. Chris teached them as well. This was a ‘study day’ – no play. Monday morning with 8 of the youngsters. It was a reading session and no games. They were all given English book to read based on seniority. Mr. Chris also assisting them with meanings of the words, pronounciation etc. Even little one from class 2 and two kids from government school kept him busy. One of the seniors asked for pronounciation and explanation of the word ‘equator’. Discussions were going on, and this led to the international space station. They just couldn’t fathom how ISS is home in the sky. That in turn made to show them a documentary of the ISS and how humans live and work up there. Having the students with these kinds of activities to boost and improve their knowledge with fun.
We have been able to sustain and continue the classes, only because of the wonderful support from all the well wishers and friends
