— Who We Are
A movement, not just an organisation.
We are a group of people working across India who share a dream — a developed India, free of poverty and illiteracy. An India where the gap between the haves and the have-nots is justifiable.
We started our journey in 2003, which transformed into formal activities in 2004. We registered our Trust in 2008 as a Public Charitable Trust (Document No. 1659/2008), also registered under the Income Tax Act (No. 582/08-09).
This organisation was formed keeping Indian professionals in mind. We strongly believe it is in the youth and professionals of India that her future lies. We concentrate primarily on education of the underprivileged, while running nutrition, celebration and community programmes alongside.
Dream India is proud to declare zero admin cost. DI Trustees absorb admin cost, thereby ensuring every single paisa donated reaches the needy. We publish audited annual reports every year — 17 consecutive years of transparent accounts.
Our Vision
To see an India free of poverty and illiteracy where the poor are empowered, an India where the bridge between the poor and the rich is within acceptable limits. An India in which today’s underprivileged youth succeed tomorrow, create a niche space for themselves, and contribute to the growth of the country.
Our Mission
To mobilise the undeniable and boundless energy, spirit and strength of India’s youth and carry out activities aimed at bettering the lives of the underprivileged and the education of underprivileged kids. To form groups from people in the same localities and help them carry out activities in their respective areas.
Success Stories
This year’s annual report is dedicated to our wonderful students who stand as role models.
