Dharun lighting the lamp on behalf of all kids
It is with a great deal of sadness that I am informing you of the death of one of our bright student master Dharun from Alapakkam GHS. This tragic event has affected the entire school and our Dream India community. We are shocked and saddened by this tragic event. He died unexpectedly on 15.Jan.2019 (Tuesday) due to complications related to Muscular dystrophy. He had many friends among the staff and students in school. DI feels so privileged to have known such a talented boy.
Dharun was such a lovely boy and so active and vibrant, which makes it even harder to comprehend his death. During all our DI’s educational events, he never returned home empty-handed. Dharun did spent a wonderful day together with us just a couple of months ago winning many accolades in multiple competitions. We all have so many fond memories of him. Dream India team got an opportunity to help Dharun by supporting him with a Folding Wheelchair, when Dharun’s walking was almost made impossible due to his disability. We at DI miss him dearly. We still can’t believe it ourselves.
DI team will forever keep our memories of master Dharun alive. This loss reminds us about how precious and sometimes short-lived, life can be. It also remind us of the importance of reaching out to one another to offer strength and support and to seek help when needed. It is times like this that put our faith to the test. I feel that is why we have to use our faith to see us through the grief and despair that comes with tragedy.
This incident just reminds me of a saying.. “Death is sad enough when anticipated, but even worse when unexpected”
Our deepest thoughts and prayers goes out to Dharun’s family during this time of loss and grief…!
