Dream India team is pleased to share the updates on our weekly classes at CHS Kamaraj Avenue, Adyar

Our association with the school and weekly classes started in the year 2008

Today’s session was handled by Mr. Deva K and Mr. Dinesh Kumar A.

We conducted an engaging and informative session on the fascinating topic of “The Science Behind Lightning and Thunder.” The session was designed to spark curiosity among the students and help them understand the science behind these powerful natural phenomena.The session focused on explaining how lightning occurs, how electric charges build up inside clouds, and how the sudden discharge of electricity produces the bright flash we see in the sky. Students also learned how thunder is produced by the rapid heating and expansion of air caused by lightning. Through an interactive discussion, students explored interesting facts about thunderstorms, lightning safety, and why we see lightning before we hear thunder.The session also helped students understand the importance of observing natural phenomena through a scientific perspective. It encouraged them to ask questions, think critically, and develop a deeper interest in science and the world around them.The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students enthusiastically shared their thoughts and answered questions about lightning, thunder, clouds, and thunderstorms. The classroom was filled with curiosity and excitement as the students discovered the fascinating science behind one of nature’s most spectacular phenomena. Students were very excited about our next week’s session .

The session ended with everyone singing the National Anthem
