It gives me so much happiness and I am absolutely proud to share the wonderful achievement of Dream India Student Padhmanathan.
There are many NGOs who support and provide scholarships for higher education but then at DI, we have had the opportunity to be for the students from schooling. We always believe level playing field should be given to all and we should do our best for the deserving children.
Since the year 2015, my dear friends Swami Bala and Theerthagiri Rajakal have been supporting school fee of 5 children from my home town Panruti. One of them already graduated and doing well and this student from 2015 has come out with flying colors and stands as school topper.
We have been giving regular updates on the progress but then being a small town, I could never bring the kids and make them meet Swami or Theerth in person in Chennai or video call. But they trusted us and kept their faith to make this possible. Year after year, they shared their hard earned money and it’s amazing to see the children repay the best means possible.
For an ngo with no employees, no office and so, it is wonderful friends like Swami (who has been also the one from our early days) and Theerth who give us the confidence and courage to be there for the children.
Education is the only thing that can elevate the family of such children and we are extremely proud on the small role we could play.
