Dream India – Project Dhairiya Lakshmi
Dream India team conducted a counseling session on March 16th, 2024 for 209 children of GHS Alapakkam appearing for the 10th board exams
The counselling session was handled by

Mr. Vignesh (Esteemed Alapakkam School Alumunus) &
Ms. Hemalatha (from Swasam team)
The session went very well. The main focus was on removing exam fear
The event aimed to provide guidance and motivation to students as they prepare for their upcoming examinations. The session commenced with welcoming remarks from the teachers, who introduced the Dream India team to the students. The Dream India team was honoured with shawls as a gesture of respect and gratitude. Mr. Vignesh shared inspiring examples of how he achieved academic excellence during his school days, becoming a school topper. His success served as a motivating example for the students. Ms. Hemalatha madam delivered as insightful talk on career choices and also shed light on the process of prioritising self-care amidst the rigors of academic life, emphasizing the importance of resilience, hard work, smart work and perseverance in the pursuit of success.
Mr.Kumar recounted his early life struggles and triumphs, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and mental strength in overcoming challenges. He shared psychological tips to help students stay mentally resilient during exams. Then Mr. Aravindhan shared personal experiences from his college days, highlighting the obstacles he faced and how he overcame them to secure his first ever IT job. He also shared a motivational story on self-confidence to encourage students to believe in themselves. A few students came forward and thanked Dream India team for helping their school for many years. They especially appreciated the DI team for providing school bags, note books and other important supplies after the recent floods in Chennai. The students were happy recalling how the Dream India team kept giving them healthy snacks all year long. DI team distributed stationary kits, protractors and compasses to the students, wishing them success in their ensuing exams.
